Showcase Your Research to the Battery Industry

The BCI Battery Research Poster Contest gives undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to present their work to battery manufacturers, engineers, scientists, technical experts, and industry leaders at the BCI Convention + Power Mart Expo.

Selected researchers will showcase their work in the Power Mart Expo, discuss their research directly with industry professionals, and compete for recognition from BCI and Women in the Global Battery Industry (WGBI).

Accepted participants can:

Research Areas

Submissions are open to undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers engaged in battery-related research at universities, government institutions, and commercial organizations.

Research areas may include:

  • Energy storage
  • Battery materials and chemistry
  • Battery technology advancements
  • Sustainability and recycling
  • Systems integration
  • Manufacturing
  • Applied battery technologies

Collaborative projects demonstrating real-world applications and measurable impact within the energy storage sector are encouraged.

Poster Judging & Recognition

Posters will be evaluated by members of the BCI Technical Committee based on:

Industry Relevance   |   Innovation.  |   Technical Quality   |   Clarity   |   Industry Impact

Presenters should be prepared to discuss their work and answer questions during the judging period. Outstanding posters will be recognized during the Convention, with top presenters receiving additional opportunities to share their research with attendees.

WGBI Poster Award

Women in the Global Battery Industry (WGBI) participates in the judging and recognition process with a dedicated award recognizing outstanding research by a female participant.

The WGBI Poster Award supports WGBI's efforts to connect academic institutions, STEM students, and women professionals in the global battery industry while increasing visibility for emerging leaders in science and technology.

How to Apply

Researchers will be asked to provide:

  • Applicant and institution information
  • Project title and research category
  • An abstract of up to 250 words outlining research objectives, methodology, and results or anticipated outcomes
  • A short biography for each author or co-presenter
  • Faculty advisor, principal investigator, or supervisor information, when applicable
  • An optional draft of the proposed poster layout
  • Accepted presenters will receive additional information regarding final poster requirements, deadlines, judging, and onsite participation.
