Xiaolin Li has a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and currently is a chief scientist leading the Battery Development and Reliability team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Li is known in the battery field for his work on the development of Si-based anode materials for Li-ion batteries and sodium-ion and aqueous zinc batteries for grid storage applications. Before joining PNNL, Li did his postdoctoral research at Stanford University working on graphene and carbon nanotubes for nanoelectronics, energy and bio-applications. Li is a highly cited researcher. Over the years, he has published many papers across broad topics resulting in >40,000 citations and H-index of 86 (Google Scholar). Li serves on the Battery Division Executive Committee of The Electrochemical Society.
