Shawn Peng is in the lead acid battery industry with a career spanning 18 years. As the Senior Director of Energy Storage Research and Development for Lead Acid Batteries at C&D Technologies and Trojan Battery Company since 2018, he is based in Santa Fe Springs, California. His journey started in 2006 at Leoch International (North America), where he evolved from an Application Engineer to Vice President of New Technology.
In addition to his corporate role, Shawn actively participates in various international standard committees since 2009. He is the Vice Chair of the Deep Cycle Battery and Low Speed EV Battery Committee for the Battery Council International (BCI) since 2020, a member of the IEC US National Committee TAG since 2017 and the technical contact for his company to the Consortium for Battery Innovation and Lead Battery Science Research Program since 2018.
