Curtis Kirkeby is a registered professional engineer in the State of Washington with 42 years of experience in the utility industry and 20+ years directly related to grid automation and modernization. He holds an EE from Montana State University and a Master of Engineering Management from Washington State University. In 2016, he was responsible for the installation of the largest flow battery deployed in North America for Avista Utilities. Currently, Curtis is intent on making long-duration energy storage platforms commercially viable.
